Buffalo Chicken Pasta Skillet (Druckversion)

Creamy buffalo chicken pasta made easy in one skillet with cheddar, mozzarella, and blue cheese.

01 - 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breast
02 - 1/2 cup blue cheese dressing (or ranch)
03 - 2 tablespoons butter, divided
04 - 1/2 cup yellow onion, diced
05 - 1 stalk celery, diced
06 - 3 cloves garlic, minced
07 - 14.5 oz diced tomatoes, undrained
08 - 4 cups chicken broth
09 - 1 lb penne pasta
10 - 1/2 cup buffalo sauce
11 - 8 oz cream cheese, softened and cubed
12 - 1.5 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
13 - 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
14 - 1 pinch red pepper flakes (optional)
15 - 2 tablespoons cold butter (optional)

# So wird's gemacht:

01 - Place chicken breast in a pot of water and gently boil for 15 minutes until cooked through. Shred with two forks and toss with blue cheese dressing.
02 - In a large high-walled skillet, melt 1 tablespoon butter over medium heat. Sauté diced onion and celery for 5 minutes. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
03 - Add undrained diced tomatoes and chicken broth. Bring to a boil. Add penne and submerge. Boil covered for 10–13 minutes until al dente, stirring occasionally.
04 - Reduce heat to low. Stir in buffalo sauce, cubed cream cheese, shredded cheddar and mozzarella until sauce thickens.
05 - Add shredded chicken and optional red pepper flakes. If desired, swirl in cold butter for a smooth finish. Serve warm.

01 - For extra flavor, add bouillon cubes to chicken water. Shred cheese from a block for better melting.
